Ellesmere Port Alcohol Service

Confidential, comprehensive, community alcohol service for people with alcohol related problems, their family and friends. Services include: support/counselling, groupwork, detox advice and community detox, health promotion advice and information, education and training, assessment, brief interventions, consultancy and training, drop-in facilities, dual diagnosis, GP advice clinics, group work, home visits, key worker, relapse prevention, self-help, schools education/workshops, telephone counselling, complementary therapies. There are gendered support groups. There is no waiting period and aftercare is encouraged. A leaflet, 'Alcohol-The Facts' is translated into non-English languages.
