The Early Intervention in Psychosis Team is a community mental health team that works with people between the ages of 14 and 35 who are or may be developing their first episode of psychosis. The team is multi-disciplinary and includes a psychiatrist, a psychologist, an occupational therapist, mental health nurses and support workers, who all have extensive experience of working with people who have psychosis. We are able to offer a range of therapeutic interventions and support, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), medication, family interventions, social support and activities, support and advice with housing and benefits, support with accessing education and employment, specialist psychological and occupational therapy interventions, relapse prevention work.
