Ellern Mede Ridgeway is an internationally renowned specialist service for inpatient care of children and adolescents with eating disorders. We are the service of choice for enduring or difficult to treat cases of eating disorders, particularly anorexia nervosa. We are one of the only hospitals specialising only in eating disorders. We have a high dependency unit offering intensive care as well as a discharge pathway with a ward for shorter-term inpatients and cottages for those preparing for discharge. Ours is a consultant led multidisciplinary service emphasising the role of the family in treatment and offering a welcoming, supportive and safe environment.
