Private Rehab
There are different types of rehab centres where you can get treatment for addiction. Private rehabs are one of the centres that offer a dynamic form of residential programme, which is centred on the unique condition of each patient. Going through this kind of rehabilitation option will afford you a higher prospect of attaining sobriety. You’ll be going through treatment in a conducive, drug-free, and comfortable environment that facilitates recovery.
There are CQC private residential treatment facilities in Oxfordshire that have been successfully helping addicts reclaim their lives from the hold of addiction for many years. We can connect you with one of these clinics if your situation calls for a private rehab programme.
Treatment processes through these rehab centres typically begin with a detox programme that will take care of your withdrawal symptoms, as the alcohol or other drug remnants in your body are eliminated. The next phase is your rehab, where you’ll be treated psychologically, to learn how to live without the influence of alcohol and drugs. Other processes may go on in between these two phases, depending on your situation.
Pros And Cons Of Private Rehab

- Be in a safe and nurturing environment
- Medical detox with 24/7 care & support
- Overcome the root causes of addiction
- guaranteed privacy and confidentiality
- Experienced team of doctors & therapists

- Learn techniques for relapse prevention
- 1 year complimentary aftercare support
Cons
Private rehab treatment programmes are more expensive than public alternatives
What Does Rehab Cost?
Rehab through private treatment centres are estimated to have a fee of £1,200 to £2,500 weekly, but this can differ for certain reasons, including programme type and duration. If your personal situation calls for an advanced detox programme, or a specialised treatment such as dual diagnosis, your treatment fee may be affected. You can give us a call to get more detailed information about rehab centres in Oxfordshire and their pricing policies.
NHS Addiction Treatment Options
You can get access to treatment for free through local Oxfordshire services, such as NHS programmes and other services run by charities. These treatment methods can be very helpful if you find it difficult to undergo treatment via a private rehab due to cost. You may be referred to a fully funded residential rehab programme, but this is quite rare. Your GP can provide information and refer you to one of these services.
Pros And Cons Of NHS Treatment
NHS treatment programmes, and other local public addiction services, come with certain benefits that include their free cost, close proximity to your home, and full treatment confidentiality.
On the other hand, they can be challenging to go through as a result of the following cons:
- You may not be able to go through a residential treatment programme
- Meetings with psychologists are restricted
- Treatment processes may take longer than necessary
- You may have to go between more than one centre for different treatments
- No provision for round-the-clock monitoring
- Receiving treatment from an unconducive environment could make recovery more difficult
- Outpatient treatment plans are often inadequate for certain levels of addiction
Addiction Support Groups
Support groups consist of people who are going through recovery from addiction to drugs and alcohol. These groups are set up to provide a support network for people in recovery, so that they can maintain their sobriety in the long run. If you have gone through an inpatient programme, or are undergoing outpatient treatment, you can join a support group to help you stay on track.
What Is NA?
Narcotics Anonymous is global organisation that was set up to provide help to addicts suffering from addiction to prescription and illicit drugs. Since its inception, NA has helped addicts stay true to recovery through 12-step therapy. There are NA meetings in Oxfordshire held on a weekly basis that you can attend for free.
What Is AA?
AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) is also a support group set up to assist addicts stay clean. However, unlike NA, it is dedicated to alcoholics. The group also adopts the 12-step programme, to keep recovering alcohol abusers in check.
Types Of Counselling
One-to-One This is the most commonly known type of therapy. It involves a counselling session between therapist and patient in the same room. It may be held in an office, coffee shop, garden or any place where the patient feels most comfortable. Face-to-face therapy includes techniques such as motivational interviewing, simple yet effective QnA or unloading where the client releases whats been on there mind causing anxiety, fear, sadness etc… before the therapist interprets this and helps the client to uncover the root issue.
Online This includes all counselling services provided through the internet. It includes sessions via emails, Skype, and support group chat rooms such as SMART Recovery online support groups. It is easy, convenient, and promotes anonymity.
Group Involves a number of people struggling with similar issues coming together to discuss these issues openly, and in the presence of a certified counsellor. Through this process, each participant gains a deeper insight into their addiction, while providing support to others in the group at the same time.
